Who Needs to See Anyways?: Unconventional Eyewear

I am here today to present to you my brand new pair of eye protective gear the Sunblocker 5000! This was a test to design some unconventional eye-wear which is not necessarily built to be readily wearable.  It took a lot of thinking and then I doodled something and this idea just came out from it.

Purpose: To protect your eyes from any and all possible light.

It has many pieces that jut out from around the eyes, they will be made from non-reflective matte, dark materials to protect the eye from any possible light coming from above or bouncing up from the cheeks.  The main covering of the eye will be opaque and matte.  It will rest on the nose and the ears for a nice firm covering.  The decorative sun flares double as protection against people trying to steal your glasses.

My Sketches
Most of my other concepts were created with all different ideas.  The teeth eyes, and drill ones meant to emphasize pain and represent migraines.  Most of them were created focusing on the idea of extending the shape and making unusual eye covers in some form.  I leaned towards the migraine concept at first until the very last sketch posted here was drawn.

The right concept was the one that finally started the "sunglasses that essentially just cover your whole face and blind you" concept.  I've been very ill all week so a compromised mental state probably helped in it's creation as well.
